![]() "We don't like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out." Ahhh...what would I ever do without my beloved music? From the very beginning of my life, it has always been an intrinsic part of my soul... To ME, music possesses a myriad of magical qualities...it can soothe you when you are feeling stressed and it can jazz you when you are feeling happy. From our Classical geniuses to our geniuses of Rock 'n' Roll, there is NOTHING on this Earth that quite equals the exquisite feeling of listening to your favorite songs via a state-of-the-art music system. Whether you are listening through a pair of headphones or listening through a pair of speakers, the sheer joy of hearing those first few notes as they begin pulsing throughout your body is nothing short of AWESOME!!! They call music "THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE" and I wholeheartedly agree with them (whoever it is that this famous "THEY" may be!) Consider your favorite musicians and what YOUR favorite songs mean toYOU...As far as I'M concerned, ELTON JOHN (and of course BERNIE TAUPIN) give me everything that I need, and in fact, they gave to CHRIS and I a song that we consider very special to us called, "." From the very onset, I feel that ELTON and BERNIE'S collaboration was an INCREDIBLE coming together of two sheer geniuses and I thank my lucky stars that they eventually DID meet! Here are a few songs that match my passion as it relates to my creation of my planet website: IMAGINE BELIEVE Music by Elton John Lyrics by Bernie Taupin I believe in love, it’s all we got Love has no boundaries, costs nothing to touch War makes money, cancer sleeps Curled up in my father and that means something to me Churches and dictators, politics and papers Everything crumbles sooner or later But love, I believe in love I believe in love, it’s all we got Love has no boundaries, no borders to cross Love is simple, hate breeds Those who think difference is the child of disease Father and son make love and guns Families together kill someone Without love, I believe in love Without love I wouldn’t believe In anything that lives and breathes Without love I’d have no anger I wouldn’t believe in the right to stand here Without love I wouldn’t believe I couldn’t believe in you And I wouldn’t believe in me Without love I believe in love I believe in love I believe in love I'M ALIVE Take a walk, But everyday I'm alive Every night But look around, And everyday And I don't care much for words of doom And I don't care much for words of doom And thank God I'm alive
CHEROKEE NATION (INDIAN RESERVATION) Lyrics by John D. Loudermilk Sung by Paul Revere and the Raiders Featuring Mark Lindsay They took the whole Cherokee nation And put us on this reservation They took away our ways of life The tomahawk and the bow and knife They took away our native tongue And taught their English to our young And all the beads we made by hand Are nowadays made in Japan Cherokee people Cherokee tribe So proud to live So proud to die They took the whole Indian nation Locked us on this reservation And though I wear a shirt and tie I still part Redman deep inside Cherokee people Cherokee tribe So proud to live So proud to die And some day when they've learned Cherokee Indian will return Will return will return Will return will return Zor and Zam Lyrics by Bill and John Chadwick Sung by the Monkees The king of Zor, he called for war And the king of Zam, he answered. They fashioned their weapons one upon one Ton upon ton, they called for war at the rise of the sun. Out went the call to one and to all That echoed and rolled like the thunder. Trumpets and drums, roar upon roar More upon more. Rolling the call of "Come now to war." Throughout the night they fashioned their might With right on the side of the mighty. They puzzled their minds plan upon plan Man upon man And at dying of dawn the great war began. They met on the battlefield banner in hand. They looked out across the vacant land. And they counted the missing, one upon one, None upon none. The war it was over before it begun. Two little kings playing a game. They gave a war and nobody came. And nobody came. And nobody came. And nobody came. And nobody came. [repeat and fade] FRAGILE by Sting If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one Drying in the colour of the evening sun Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away But something in our minds will always stay Perhaps this final act was meant To clinch a lifetime's argument That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could For all those born beneath an angry star Lest we forget how fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star Like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are How fragile we are How fragile we are How fragile we are
NEW WORLD COMING
There's a new world coming There's a new voice calling There's a brand new morning There's a new world coming
WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD Lyrics by Bob Thiele, George David Weiss and George Douglas Sung by Louis Armstrong I see trees of green Red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And I think to myself What a wonderful world I see skies of blue, and clouds of white The colors of the rainbow I hear babies cry ONE TIN SOLDIER Lyrics by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter Sung by Joan Baez Listen children to a story that was written long ago go ahead and hate your neighbour go ahead and cheat a friend do it in the name of heaven you could justify it in the end There won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgement day on the bloody morning after One tin soldier rides away So the people of the valley sent a message of the hill, Now the valley cried with anger,"mount your horses, draw your sword" CHORUS REPEAT I AM YOUR CHILD by Barry Manilow I am your child Wherever you go, you take me too Whatever I know, I learned from you Whatever I do, you taught me to do I am your child And I am your chance Whatever will come, will come from me Tomorrow is won, by winning me Whatever I am, you taught me to be I am you hope, and I am your chance I am your child Whatever I am, you taught me to be I am your hope, I am your chance I am your child Finally, I think that these words written by Barry Manilow, sums it up when he says to us all: I WRITE THE SONGS I've been alive forever, and I wrote the very first song I put the words and the melodies together I am music and I write the songs CHORUS I write the songs that make the whole world sing I write the songs of love and special things I write the songs that make the young girls cry I write the songs, I write the songs My home lies deep within you And I've got my own place in your soul Now, when I look out through your eyes I'm young again, even though I'm very old CHORUS Oh my music makes you dance And gives you spirit to take a chance And I wrote some rock 'n' roll so you can move Music fills your heart Well, that's a real fine place to start It's from me it's for you It's from you, it's for me It's a worldwide symphony CHORUS CHORUS I am Music (music) and I write the songs
